Book-a-Day Challenge: 5 - 9

If you want to follow my #bookaday picks in 'real time', you can follow me on twitter.

Onwards!

5th - Doesn't Belong to Me - Inkspell by Cornelia Funke

I feel a little extremely guilty about this one. I sort of semi-stole this book from a good friend of mine in college... she lent it me and I never got the chance to give it back. I feel terrible because it's such a good book and one I would hate to loose myself!

6th - The One I Always Give as a Gift - Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison

This is more a book I gave as a gift rather than give as a gift... nowadays I don't buy many books as gifts, knowing people prefer to browse and pick their own. But when I was a teenager most of my friends read the Georgia Nicolson series so we all got each other the latest book for our birthdays. Or borrowed each others' copies instead...

7th - Forgot I Owned It - Goosebumps series by R L Stein

Wow, blast from the past. I used to get bought these books as a kid as a reward if I'd been particularly well behaved that week. This tradition went on for at least a couple of years, and as you can see I collected a total of... four books. Hmmm.

8th - Have More Than One Copy - The Boyfriend List by E Lockhart

I say I own more than one copy of this... my other copy was lost indefinitely after I lent it to one of my friends. Bless her though, she did buy me this copy once it was determined she wouldn't be returning it to me this millenia. It's a really cool read too so I'm glad I have at least one copy in my possession!

9th - Film or TV Tie In - Game of Thrones by George R R Martin

I am embaressingly late to this party, having only started the series a month ago. I'm currently on Storm of Swords: Steel and Snow and have been powering through them, trying to hold of watching the TV series until I've passed the point of spoilers in the books. Somehow, to the amazement of all other fans, I have managed to avoid all major (and most minor) upcoming plot points. When I first came to the series the only thing I knew about Game of Thrones was that Jon Snow is Ned Stark's bastard, and even then I didn't realise he's his ACTUAL bastard son... I thought it was just a random insult...
